Phishing emails are currently circulating that misuse the xYnta name. These messages appear to come from us, but they do not. They contain a link to a fake copy of our customer panel, designed to capture your login details.
The security of your data is our priority. That is why we want to inform you directly about these fraudulent emails and the steps you can take.
What is happening?
Scammers are sending emails that appear to come from xYnta. The email asks you to log in or to perform an action through a link. That link does not point to our real customer panel, but to a fake website that looks deceptively genuine. If you enter your username and password there, they go straight to the scammers.
What to do if you receive such an email
Have you received a suspicious email that claims to be from xYnta? Do not click any links and do not open attachments. Delete the email immediately. As long as you have not clicked the link or entered any details, you are not at risk.
Did you already click the link and log in?
If you reached the fake website through the email and entered your login details there, take the following steps right away:
- Change your xYnta account password as soon as possible, via our real customer panel at https://mijn.xynta.com.
- Do you use the same password for other websites or services? Change it there as well. Scammers often try stolen passwords elsewhere too.
- If you are in doubt, or notice suspicious activity on your account, please contact us and we will help you further.
How to recognise phishing
You can often spot fraudulent emails with a few simple checks:
- Check the sender. Genuine email from xYnta comes from an @xynta.com address (for example no-reply@xynta.com). Watch for small deviations in the domain name.
- Check the link's web address. Hover your mouse over a link (without clicking) to see where it really leads. Our customer panel is only available at https://mijn.xynta.com. If the address differs, do not trust it.
- Be wary of urgency. Messages that pressure you ("your account will be blocked", "log in immediately") are a well-known hallmark of phishing.
In doubt? Get in touch
xYnta will never ask you for your password by email. If you are unsure whether a message you received on our behalf is genuine, or if you clicked something you are not sure about, please contact us. We are happy to check it for you and help you further.
