Backups for Hosting and Managed VPS
Whether you choose Hosting or Managed VPS: your data is automatically backed up daily and can be easily and quickly restored via the control panel.
Hosting
With our Hosting packages we create a full daily backup of your website, stored on a separate backup server in a different data centre. Via the hosting control panel you can restore complete backups or specific components — such as files, folders, email accounts and databases.
Managed VPS
With our Managed VPS packages we create a daily backup of your data with a retention of seven days, stored in a separate data centre. Via the control panel you can restore earlier versions of files and databases, or call on us for direct support.

Files and settings
We back up your website files and server settings every day. Via the control panel you can easily and quickly restore individual files or entire folders to the desired recovery point.
Databases
Your databases are saved daily in .sql format. Choose a restore point and bring back the right version of your database directly and without detours via the control panel.
Frequency and retention
By default we create a daily backup with seven days of retention. Do you need a custom interval or a longer retention period? We are happy to discuss the options with you.
Restore yourself or with help
Via the control panel you have direct and permanent access to your backups. Restore data yourself or ask us to do it for you — our team is available around the clock.
Daily checks
We check every day whether all backups have been completed correctly and in full. This way you can be sure your data is secure and immediately available whenever you need it.
Account backups for recovery
For systems such as DirectAdmin we create additional account backups without data content. This allows accounts to be fully and cleanly restored at the moment it is needed.
