What are support services?

As an xYnta customer, you receive support on the hosting services you have with us — think questions about your control panel, email settings or DNS. What you place on your hosting, such as your website or webshop, is not included. That is not a shortcoming but a deliberate choice: we are a hosting provider, not a website builder or manager.

Yet sometimes you run into something where you have no one to turn to. Maybe you want to migrate your website but do not know how. Or your website suddenly stops working and you have no idea what is wrong. Or you want to change your website address but do not know what that involves.

That is exactly what our support services are for. You do not need any technical knowledge — you describe your situation and our team takes care of it. Always at a rate agreed in advance, so you are never caught off guard. And for a number of services: if we cannot resolve it, you pay nothing.

Moving a website or email?

When purchasing a new Web Hosting, WordPress Hosting, Email Hosting, Reseller Hosting or Managed VPS package, we migrate your website and email accounts free of charge. For all other situations our paid migration support services are available.

Website migration

Per website, one-time fee € 80,-

We migrate your website from another hosting provider to xYnta — including all files, databases and email.

Per website, one-time fee € 20,-

We move your existing website to a different domain name — including all necessary configuration changes and SSL.

We move your website internally from one hosting package to another at xYnta — including email, databases and DNS settings.

We look along with you via your screen and help you directly with configuration issues or other questions about your hosting or email.

Our standard support covers the hosting services you have with us — think questions about your control panel, email settings or DNS. Work on your website or application is not included.

Support services go a step further. They provide targeted help in specific situations that fall outside our standard service, such as migrating a website, resolving a hack or changing your domain name. You know the cost in advance and our team carries out the work for you.

Most support services require an active hosting or server package with xYnta. For some services — such as a website migration — the service goes hand in hand with signing up for a new package.

The support services "Problem solving" and "Remote assistance" come with a no cure, no pay guarantee. This means you pay nothing if we cannot resolve the problem or help you further.

For the other support services — such as website migration or changing your website address — the rate is always agreed in advance and fixed. So you always know where you stand financially before we start.

After we receive your request, we will contact you as soon as possible to go through the details and schedule a suitable time. In most cases we can carry out a support service within one business day.

For urgent situations, such as a hacked website, we will act as quickly as possible. Always mention in your request whether there is any urgency.

Yes, most support services are not tied to a specific CMS or platform. Website migration, email migration, changing your website address, moving your website and remote assistance are available for virtually all types of sites.

The "Problem solving" support service is in practice most effective for WordPress websites, as that is where we have the most knowledge and experience. For other platforms we assess what is possible on a case-by-case basis.

Email accounts are included with the "Website migration" support service for normal use. If you have a large number of accounts or specific requirements, mention this in your request — we will take it into account in our quote.

You can also use the "Email migration" support service to migrate email accounts separately. That rate is € 10,- excl. VAT per email address.

Submitting a request is non-binding. After receiving it, we will contact you with a quote and a plan.
