A hosting package is not required. Via our free included Managed DNS service you can also easily connect your domain name to an external service such as an external hosting platform or website builder.

Not ready to build a website yet but want to start emailing from your own domain name straight away? That is possible. Choose one of our email hosting or Microsoft 365 packages and connect it to your domain name via Managed DNS.

Already using an email provider such as Google Workspace, ProtonMail or another platform? Via the free included Managed DNS service you can easily set up the required MX and other records via the control panel — no hosting package required.

Automate domain management — for resellers and developers

Via our API virtually all domain operations can be automated: registering, transferring and renewing domain names, managing DNS records and more. Integrate this directly into your own website, application or management system.

With the forwarding service you forward your domain name to any web address. With Managed DNS you manage your DNS records via our geographically distributed nameservers with IPv6 and DNSSEC support.

No, a hosting package is not required. You can register a domain name without a hosting package — for example by forwarding it to an external web address or connecting it to an external service via Managed DNS.

Want to build your own website or use email via your domain name? Then a suitable hosting or email package is recommended.

Yes, this is possible via our free included Managed DNS service. You set up the required DNS records via the control panel — such as MX records for email and TXT records for verification.

Would you prefer to take out email hosting or Microsoft 365 through us? That is also possible. We offer separate email hosting and Microsoft 365 packages that you connect directly to your domain name.

When registering a domain name, your contact details are stored in the public WHOIS register. Are you registering as a private individual? Many details are already shielded by default under GDPR legislation.

For business registrations or extensions where details remain visible, WHOIS privacy is available at a low annual rate. Whether you need it depends on your situation and the extension you are registering.
