Over the past few months, we have been quietly working on something we have had in mind for a long time. With the launch of our new AI-powered monitoring system Helios and our redesigned website with Orbit integration, things are already in motion. But this is just the beginning. In the weeks ahead, we will take you along step by step — and today we start with the big picture.
A new backup system and a new control panel
The first step is a new backup system for customers with a managed VPS. Hosting customers will follow after that. We want you to be able to rely on your data at all times — a reliable and well-organised backup system is simply part of that.
Later this summer, we will then launch Orbit: our completely new customer control panel. Orbit replaces the current Mijn xYnta environment. At launch, Orbit will include all the functionality you currently find in Mijn xYnta — familiar features in a new, more user-friendly environment.
What Orbit will mean for you
After launch, we will expand Orbit step by step over the coming months. The goal: one central place to manage all your services — hosting packages, servers, and domain names. No more separate environments, everything in one place.
But Orbit will be more than just a management panel. It will be the place where new services get started and where we take our service to the next level. What you can expect:
- An AI-powered website builder we have developed ourselves, making it easy to set up a website quickly.
- Advanced WordPress management tools — for managing your own WordPress website, and for resellers also for managing their customers' websites.
- An AI assistant for server customers: a clear dashboard that always shows you what is happening on your server, what needs attention, and what can be improved.
- An integration with Core, our own server stack, which we expect to put into service on the first servers in autumn.
Helios already shows how this works in practice
Orbit is being built with the same approach as Helios, our new status page, and our redesigned website: everything should be easy and natural to use, with real added value for every customer.
Helios — our monitoring system — is a good example of what we mean by that. Today alone, it helps us proactively resolve 50 to 60 percent of incidents and issues on our servers and those of customers, often before you notice anything at all. If something does surface, Helios helps us identify the problem quickly and give you focused information about what is going on.
Orbit builds on the same idea: smarter tools that allow us to help you faster, more precisely, and more effectively.
